Pune, March 22:

The Trump Organisation has made its commercial real estate debut in India with Trump World Center Pune, marking its first non-residential venture in the country. The project, developed in collaboration with Tribeca Developers and Kundan Spaces, spans 4.3 acres and is expected to generate sales exceeding ₹2,500 crore.

Announced on Friday, this move marks a shift for the Trump Organisation, which has so far focused on luxury residential projects in India. The country is now the largest market for the Trump brand outside the United States.

The Trump Organisation already has four residential towers in Mumbai, Pune, Gurgaon, and Kolkata. With plans to expand to 10 projects in the next six years, the company is venturing into office spaces, golf courses, and villas in major cities like Noida, Hyderabad, Bengaluru, Mumbai, Gurgaon, and Pune.

Eric Trump, Executive Vice President of the Trump Organisation, expressed excitement over the launch, stating, “India has embraced the Trump brand with remarkable enthusiasm. After our successful collaboration on several iconic residential projects, we are proud to launch our first commercial development in India.”

The Trump brand’s journey in India began 15 years ago when Tribeca’s Kalpesh Mehta met Donald Trump Jr. in a New York bar, where their initial plans were sketched on a cocktail napkin.

“This is a defining moment for commercial real estate in India,” said Mehta. “Trump World Center Pune positions Pune as a global business hub.”

Unlike traditional real estate developers, the Trump Organisation follows a branding and management contract model. While the Indian partners invest and construct, the Trump brand provides branding, service standards, and global marketing.
